STORYLINE
Whats up with this Relic? What does it do?
Be the Hero that Seals Away the Darkness Forever
Deep within the ancient dungeon, the Relic of Binding has kept the darkness sealed away for centuries. When a violent earthquake sends it tumbling from its resting place, the sealed tomb shatters and monsters of chaos and destruction are unleashed upon the world. With every passing moment the darkness spreads further, deeper, and with greater fury.

The relic washes ashore at the dungeon's entrance, waiting. But it will not wait forever. It needs a hero worthy of its power, one with the courage and cunning to carry it back through the darkness and return it to its sanctum.The relic has chosen you.

How To Play & Game Mechanics
DASH Mechanic
The Relic of Binding gives the hero amazing speed.

Move two tiles in the same direction and by the third you enter the Dash State, becoming invincible and unstoppable. Master your momentum and destroy anything that stands in your way.

Once you begin to dash, you cannot stop until something gets in your way, so plan carefully!
HUD (Heads Up Display)
HUD elements are hopefully self-explainatory. The pause button (accessed by touch, ENTER on Keyboard, or typical pause button on controller, will display the Options dialog. Restarting the level is sometimes helpful to reset a puzzle.
MONSTERS
Drops gold when destroyed
Turns to guts when destroyed
Sticky, stops player movement
Only destroyed by lightning
Re-assembles after destroyed
Turns to acid pool when destroyed
Damages player when touched
Can be used to stop player
Cannot be dealt damage with dash
ITEMS
Moves one tile when dashed
Contributes to high score
Adds 1 heart to health meter in HUD
Adds 1 heart container to HUD
Fills all heart containers
Unlocks doors
Destroys monsters in room
Lowers spikes
extra layer of protection
Revives player after death
Advance to the next level
Grants floor vision
Fires arrow from turret
changes player direction
Scoring
(gold × level² × 2) ÷ time (seconds) = SCORE

The score is then divided by the number of soul stones used. If you use more than one soul stone, your score is divided by half.

FUTURE PLANS
Steam Early Release planned for June 2026, with a full release by end of summer. I intentionally kept the controls simple so that Dungeon Dash could be played on all platforms, including TV. I hope to be on all platforms by end of 2026!
